We deliver a wide variety of courses for Durham County Council’s Adult and Community Learning Department as part of their commitment to lifelong learning within the County with funding from the Skills Funding Agency and the European Social Fund.

You can get involved in our courses in arts and crafts, jewellery making, singing, pottery, swing dance or sign up to weekly courses in filmmaking, creative writing or even a spot of gardening at our allotment in Roddymoor.  So whether you want to develop a new skill, make some new friends, do something with family members, or just want to make some time to do something you enjoy we hope you will find something within our varied programme.

Beginners are always welcome to any of our sessions. A little nervous? Feel free to bring a friend, neighbor or family member along for the ride. Our workshop programme has been developed with feedback from our learners and we always try to respond to the interests of those taking part.  We always endeavour to make the workshops as accessible and welcoming as possible and provide many of our courses for FREE although we do request donations towards the costs of materials.

Our courses are very popular so we advise that you book in advance.

If you require further information about any of our courses or would like us to develop and deliver a course for your group please email This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. or give us a call on 01388 765002 for an informal chat.
