Visual Artist Required

We are looking for a skilled visual artist to deliver upto 4 x days of lantern making workshops with families. Taking place in community centres in the Crook, Willington and Tow Law area of County Durham the artist will create illuminated lanterns inspired by folk themes for Crook Winter Light Parade taking place on Sunday 26th November.

Dates are still to be confirmed but will either be on Saturdays or Sundays over the following weekends 4/5, 11/12 or 18/19 November.

You must have experience in workshop facilitation in a community setting and of working with families, have a current enhanced DBS and be able to drive. A good working knowledge of how to make light-based lanterns is required.

Fee is £250 per day plus a materials budget. Please email helen@jackdrum.co.uk with a short expression of interest outlining your relevant experience and share some examples of your work either via weblinks or attachments.
