Award Winner!

We are so proud of our fantastic young people for their win at the Journal Culture Awards on Wednesday 13th December, scooping the 'Special Award for Young Achievement' for their delivery of BOP Fest. All the young people involved in this youth produced festival have shown such determination, vision and self belief over the last 2 years to shine a light on the climate emergency and our left behind corner of County Durham.

It was a fantastic event last night at the gorgeous Fire Station venue in Sunderland celebrating outstanding work in the arts and cultural sector across the north east and we feel privileged to have our project selected as a winner.

A big shout out goes to the other 2 nominees in our category Young Musicians Project and Young Womens Film Academy who deliver incredible work across the north working with young people to provide them with inspiring opportunities to use their creative skills to have a voice in our busy world.

Thank you to the funders and supporters of both BOP Fest 22 and BOP Fest 23 to our staff team for supporting the young people, to our musicians, street theatre artists and workshop facilitators.
