B.O.P Fest

A New FREE Family Friendly Festival comes to Crook this Summer!

B.O.P fest (Building Our Planet festival) is a new, exciting and free festival happening in Crook, Glenholme park on Sunday the 14th of August! The festival will feature a wide array of musicians, performers, craft stalls, workshops, and carnival games for the whole family to enjoy.

With a positive message about the impact of climate change and how we can help stop it, the festival will not only provide hours of entertainment, but also important messages and information that everyone can benefit and learn from.

Artists performing will include Dilutey Juice, Ladies of Midnight Blue and Chloe Nattrass, with a whole host of genres of music, from Columbian-Brazillian music, to punk and rock bands.

B.O.P Fest has been organised by the youth board at Jack Drum Arts, a group of young people aged 13-19, with a shared goal of incorporating climate change awareness into everyday life.

“The youth board has poured so much time and love into B.O.P Fest, making it an amazing day for the whole family packed with global music, street theater and plenty to get involved with. There won't be a dull moment and we are so excited to share it with you!” - Eve Rose, 18, youth board member.

B.O.P Fest will take place from 11 am till 7 pm on Sunday the 14th of August in Glenholme park, Crook, County Durham, DL15 8LH.

B.O.P Fest is funded by Virgin Money Foundation, 3 Towns Area Action Partnership and County Durham Community Foundation and is the culmination of a year long youth social action project delivered by Jack Drum Arts.
