GoViral was an activities program, supporting children and young people through the opening and heart of the Covid-19 crisis.

Our first initiative was Durham Go Viral: Digital Lock-Down Diaries

This Project was set up in direct response to the crisis to support children and young people during lockdown and over the months that followed, where we had anticipated a huge rise in issues around poor mental health, anxiety, depression and bereavement.

The project gave young people a voice and medium through which to articulate their experiences as a young person in County Durham living through the Covid-19 crisis on a platform built for them. Support for young people to work with professional photographers, artists, writers, graphic designers, and musicians was provided in order to create an online exhibition and show the world what the youth of the County were doing at this powerful moment in history.
