Young Leaders Programme

Launched in 2021, the Jack Drum Arts Young Leaders Programme is a 12-month personal and professional development opportunity designed for young people aged 16 and over who are interested in building a career in the creative industries.

The creative sector offers exciting and growing career opportunities, yet many young people face barriers to accessing them.

The Young Leaders Programme helps bridge this gap by equipping aspiring creatives with the skills, confidence and industry connections needed to take their first steps into the sector.

Participants benefit from a range of opportunities, including volunteering, one-to-one mentoring, hands-on experience across a variety of creative practices, and support to develop a professional creative portfolio. The programme also enables young people to gain valuable workplace experience, expand their networks and build confidence in a supportive and inspiring environment.
